Essay on Global Warming

Introduction

What might happen if the Earth heats up?

For the past 10,000 years, the earth has had relatively stable temperatures and the average temperature of our planet was only 2 to 3 degrees Celius. But, for the past 150 years, scientists have noticed the Earth is warming up more than usual. So imagine what could happen if our average temperature was to rise by a couple of degrees Celius!

This phenomenon is called global warming. If the Earth becomes warmer and hotter, the heat gradually allows thousands of plant and animal species (including humans, like us) of untold sufferings and deaths. In this lesson, you will find out what global warming is as well as its causes and effects.
