The English Speaking World

Introduction

The English Speaking World by Joris Donnadieu on Genially

Welcome to our new webquest, English-speaking nations throughout the world, where you will discover more about these countries.

In which countries is English spoken as a first or second language?

What do you know about these nations?

Have you traveled to any of the nations on this list?

What type of information would you require in order to determine whether or not to visit the nation, and why?

Let us get together and plan a fantastic trip!

Consider the following scenario: our class is planning a school trip to a place where English is spoken. You and three partners will be allocated to one of six destinations: Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, or India. To persuade the rest of the class that your location is the most intriguing and unique to visit, you must gather basic knowledge about your country and its major features.

This Webquest will teach you more about English-speaking nations other than the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as how to plan a vacation utilizing all of the internet's capabilities.

  •  You will surf on English web pages to find information about your English-speaking country.
  •  Once you have all the information, your group will have to design and create a travel brochure of its English-speaking country using the PowerPoint Presentation and present it in front of the class.

4. TRAVEL AGENT will plan the vacation, including transportation from Vitória/ES to the destination and hotel reservations (detail this information and final price using the following charts).

5. THE COOK will create a traditional English food chosen by the group and serve it to all classmates to sample.

ALL MEMBERS will assist each other in researching for specific information, collecting images, considering their ideas, and discussing what they have found. Make a decision on how you want to design your presentation and then start working on it.
