English Grade 6

Introduction

On this webquest page, students will find assignments and tasks for this week in English class. As we meet during each class period this week, instead of lecture and lesson content, each student will work independently on their devices to complete the assignments.

Task

Monday: Read Chapters 1-3 of the book "Uglies" written by Scott Westerfeld.

Wednesday: Answer comprehension and understanding questions regarding chapters 1-3. Continue reading through chapter 5.

Friday: By the end of class prepare a visual representation of the main concept of the chapters read so far.

Evaluation

Each Question is worth 2 points. 10 questions =20 points.

The visual representation will be worth 30 points. 

5 points for creativity 

10 points for depiction of main concepts

10 points for the submission 

5 points for choice of visual

Conclusion

Students, from this week's assignments you should have been able to read a text, comprehend your understanding by answering the questions, and then apply the ideas to a visual piece.

I choose this book because it deals with issues that students begin to face at your age.
