Endangered species and How to protect them

Introduction

Topic

Endangered species and How to protect them

- Hello, everyone! It's time for an enjoyable English class. Let's get started right away. Today's topic is "Endangered species and how to protect them."

Purpose

The Earth is a space where countless living organisms coexist. New life forms appear, and some naturally disappear over time. However, due to many current problems, the Earth is facing a crisis where numerous species are disappearing at an alarming rate. Human activities, in particular, have a significant impact on this. Through this topic, we aim to help students recognize the value of various living organisms and, furthermore, explore ways to protect them through various activities. This will raise awareness of the importance of protecting endangered animals.

- Why should we care about endangered species and learn how to protect them?

- What endangered species are there in the world?

Task

Objective

Students will first need to understand what endangered species are, and the first activity will involve this topic. After that, they will work in groups to explore various endangered animal species from around the world, aiming to raise awareness about endangered species. Based on the information they find, they will create and share an animal encyclopedia to expand their thinking. Finally, they will reflect on what they can do to protect these animals and put their ideas into practice to conclude the activities.

- So, Let's find out about endangered animals in the world and announce ways to protect them.

Project

-We will proceed with the project learning during the 5th session.

-We have to solve four missions.

-Let's read all four missions together

mission 1. Endangered species? What is that?

mission 2. Let's Travel Around the World !

mission 3. Making a Endangered Animal Book!

mission 4. How can we protect endangered animals?

 -Can you all do it?

 -Let's go!!!!!

Process

Mission 1. Endangered species? What is that?

Meaning of endangered species & examples

- Do you know what endangered species are?

- Are endangered animals and extinct animals the same?

- Let's watch a video of extinct and endangered animals together

- Watch the video paying attention to the difference between endangered and extinct animals.

Conclusion

We have learned about the definition and types of endangered species, explored examples from around the world, and created posters about endangered animals.

Why do you think it is important for us to protect these animals?

What actions can we take in our daily lives to help prevent extinction?

I hope you will continue to pay attention to the protection of endangered animals and find ways for animals and humans to coexist.

As we conclude this WebQuest, let us reflect on these questions and commit to living in a way that supports the protection of endangered species.

Thank you for your participation!
