Introduction
In this Webquest, you will learn the Main elements of a story such as conflict, character, and point of view.
Task
In this webquest you will learn the main elements of a story and then create an imaginative short story based on what you’ve learned.
Process
First, you will Google the phrase “elements of a story.” From here you will write down the definition of each element and one example of each. Because there are many elements of a story you should only focus on these key elements:
Character
Point of View
Plot
Conflict
Resolution
Setting
Once you have your notes on each element, you will write a short story using each element. The story can be about anything you’d like but it must be at least one full page long. I will pass around an example of a short story using these elements to help give you an idea of how to use each one.
Evaluation
I will then review your notes and your story and see if the elements have been used correctly. I will also be looking for creativity as well as accuracy.
Conclusion
At the end of this task you will have learned the basic but most important elements of a story and how to use them. This will allow you to interpret more complex elements in the future.
