This webquest explores strategies for classroom management and behavior supports for learners with special needs.
Task

Congraulations you are a new special education teacher!
Right after being hired, the principle asks you if you can give a presentation to all the teachers in the school the day before the new school year begins. The topic of the presentation is classroom management and behavior supports. Be sure to include positive behavior supports, functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plan. Your presentation will last 20 minutes and will include guided notes for the all the teachers, and a 10 question quiz at the end of your presentation.
Process
First you will research positive behavior supports using http://www.pbis.org
Next you will research functional behavioral assessments using http://www.behavioradvisor.com/FBA.html and http://cecp.air.org/fba/
Then look at behavioral intervention plans using http://www.pbisworld.com/tier-2/behavior-intervention-plan-bip/
Now create a prezi using all the information that you found. Be sure to include samples of a functional behavioral assessment and behavioral intervention plan.
