Pop Art

Introduction

 Pop art is a style of art which explores the every day imagery that is part of our contemporary culture. Common sources of imagery include advertisements, consumer product packaging, celebrity photographs, and comic strips. An example of some of the leading artist during this movement include Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and many others.

Task

Create a PowerPoint based on 3 artists in the pop art movement. Include three facts about each artist as well as three examples of their own artwork. 

Process

Begin with exploring the web searching for information on pop art and the artists during this movement. Find 3 artist of your choice that were apart of that movement. Provide basic background information of each artist as well as three of their own art works. Once you have gathered all of the information, create a PowerPoint that includes all of the information that you found.

Evaluation

One must be able to identify what pop art is and how it differs from other types of art. One must also provide 3 different artist from the pop art movement, background information, and 3 examples of their work.  One will be evaluated on stating what pop art is, 3 artists found during the movement, background information, and examples of their art.

Conclusion

Students have created a PowerPoint based on 3 artists in the pop art movement, included three facts about each artist as well as three examples of their own artwork.
