After you skim these articles and find your answers, turn to pages 5 and 6 in your booklet and do the following:

  1. Find the section of your assigned myth (either cigarettes, vaping, alcohol, or marijuana).

  1. Write down your assigned myth where it says “Cigarette Myth,” "Vaping Myth," "Alcohol Myth," or "Marijuana Myth" (whichever one you were assigned)

  1. Take a few notes on page 23 (blank page) in your booklet, so that you can bust the myth for the rest of the class.

  1. Create a reality statement about your assigned myth.

           (Example:

MYTH- Most car accidents are caused by teenagers.

REALITY STATEMENT - Some car accidents are caused by teenagers. In 2012, 8% of

car accidents were caused by teenagers.

    5.   Be prepared to quickly share your notes and your reality statement with the class.

Evaluation

1.  You will share your myth, notes, and reality statement to the class.

2.  You will also need to choose one myth for each of the sections to record in your booklet.

Conclusion

Now you have busted the myths that many people believe to be true.  You now have an advantage over many people since you know the truth.
