Introduction
Introduction to Distributive Property
Math is fun! For this assignment, we will go in depth with Distributing numbers. Having the basics in mind can help you get through anything. You will be learning from many other people (aside from myself) for how to solve Distributive Properties.
Task
In this Webquest, you will be exploring the internet to get more knowledge and information from other educators.
You will be taking notes as you go along and applying what you have learned from myself and from the videos to the homework assigned and the quiz that will be coming up.
You are able to take notes however you like, but must be appropriate and organized. Keep in mind that your notes will be turned in for a grade and will be given back for study material.
Process
Step 1:
Watch, take notes, and follow along with the YouTube videos provided below
Step 2:
Review notes from both class and from the videos.
Step 3:
Write in your Portfolio your initial thought on the Distributive Properties. Think about Is this you first time trying this out? Were you having trouble? Was it confusing? Do you need more practice? These are questions you can answer or just write what went through you mind. Nothing you say will be wrong but give some thought and use of appropriate wording.
Step 4:
When you have finished writing or typing (whichever you prefer) in your Portfolio, submit before next Monday. You are given a few days to put you thoughts together on paper or online.
Evaluation
| Poor | Excellent | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| Notes | Physical or Digital copy not submitted or nothing was presented to teacher on time. | Turned in on time | |
| Reflection (Portfolio) | Not appropriate wording/ Not submitted on time | Turned in on time/ Presented what was asked/ Gave thoughtful opinions |
Conclusion
This is only the beginning! Practice makes perfect. For the next few weeks, I will be adding more and more to what we already know on the Distributive Properties. Please be aware that I will be using Webquest each week to give you more practice and advice from other educators other than myself.
