Introduction
Clay. What is it? How is it made? How is it used? What can we do with it?
To answer these questions, we must first learn about the material itself, and get to know some of the terminology associtaed with it. Once we get to know clay and its properities, we can use it to our advantage. Clay and ceramics has very specific vobaulary to discribe it, the processes used when working with it, and the forms it can take on. Through this activity we will get to know clay and have the foundation for understanding how we will use it in class.
