Dinosaur before Dark

Introduction

This lesson was designed for 2nd graders who are looking for a challenge.  In the 2nd grade California State standards students learn about fossils.  An extension of this is learning about dinosaurs.  The Magic Tree House books are a great way to introduce students to science in a fictional setting.  This Webquest incorporates research and literature in a fun way for students.

Task

Answer the following questions using complete sentences.  What kinds of books do you think Jack and Annie will find in the tree house? What would you do if you found a treehouse in the woods?

Conclusion

You have done a great job!  There is so much more to learn about dinosaurs.    There are many books in the library that can help you.  You can also ask your teacher for additional information.

Congratulations on a job well done!
