Digital Etiquette

Introduction

For today's lesson we will look at another aspect of Ribble's Domain and Element which is the Be Savvy: Digital Etiquette.

What is Digital Etiquette you may ask??

Digital Etiquette is integrity, or sense of self management, and general responsibility for your actions as well as yourself on the internet and treating people like you would in real life.

Some basic digital etiquette would be like respecting others, following the rules of the website you're using, or just being kind to others.

This probably sounds familiar and if you haven't caught on yet these are the ways you probably treat people in real life, or at least how you're supposed to treat them.

Also, it's about how you write messages online; even if you didn't intend it to be mean and was only joking, some people can take it the wrong way because the empathy or feelings can’t be transferred into the messages. Like when you write in caps lock, people assume that you are yelling at them or are angry.
