Introduction
Students will learn the forearm pass, which is used in volleyball, and also when it is used. The students will demonstrate the proper technique for the forearm pass. The students will work together in pairs and explain how the skill is done while performing it.
Task
Students will learn how to perform the forearm pass (bump) in volleyball correctly.
By the end of this activity, students should be able to:
Explain what a forearm pass is.
Identify the key steps in performing the skill.
Demonstrate Correct technique.
Understand when to use the forearm pass in a game.
Process
Students will complete the following steps:
Watch a video on how to perform the forearm pass.
List the key steps of the skill (stance, hand position, contact, follow-through).
Practice the skill with a partner:
Stand facing each other
Pass the ball using the forearm pass
Focus on control and accuracy
Self-check: Students reflect on their performance:
Did I keep my arms straight?
Did I bend my knees?
Did I control the ball?
Answer the teacher's questions about the skill.
