Need and want are two words that we frequently use interchangeably. But have you ever wondered whether there is any difference between needs and wants? Although these two words are often used as synonyms, there is an important difference between needs and wants, especially in our daily lives. Let us find out for ourselves for knowing the difference between them makes us wiser in our daily lives.

- Third, you should be able to identify the needs and the wants in each circumstances given from two case studies that will be provided.
- Fourth, you should be able to explain the needs and wants you identified base from the case studies provided.
- Lastly, you should be able to give the correct decision if you were to put on the shoes of the people in the case studies provided.

What is need?
Needs are things that people require to survive. Food, water, clothing, and shelter are all needs. If a human body does not have those things, the body cannot function and will die.
What is want?
Wants are things that a person would like to have but are not needed for survival.

Conclusion
With the above discussion, it concluded that needs and wants are separate forces that compels actions for satisfaction. Wants are something which a person is craving for that does not challenge the person’s survival if not met on time, while needs are something that must met on time, otherwise the survival of the person will be at risk.
