Have you ever discovered a word that seemed like it was made up by combining two words to create something new and exciting? What was the word and what do you think it means?

Task
Objective: By the end of the lesson, you will have learned how to identify compound words in text and speech, make your own compound words, and use them in speech and writing activities.
To gain knowledge in these areas, you will learn through videos, online tutorials, and games provided through links. You will also undertake several tasks as outlined in the following process.
Process

Evaluation
Your understanding of the WebQuest lesson will be assessed through the completion of the different tasks. Although the process has more areas, the examinable components for evaluation are; creating word games through pictures, identifying compound words in the passage, and creating words through the turtle diary word game. The rubric and the accompanying grade scale for assessing these competencies are as follows:
