Task

You and your group are going to investigate what four things a plant needs to grow.  Each group is going to plant beans in four separate cups and see how they grow when they don’t get all that they need.  You are going to check your plants everyday to see how they are doing.  At the end of the week, you and your group are going to create a poster to show what your plant needed most to grow.  In addition, you and your group are going to explore the parts of a plant and their purposes.  Using the internet, your group is going to inquire about plant parts, explore their uses, and make conclusions by creating another poster which highlights the parts of a plant and their functions.

Before we begin, lets assign each member of the group a duty.  Here are the duties!

1.  Web Master- This group member will be in charge of navigating the Webquest and doing all of the "pointing and clicking."  Anything that needs to be done on the computer will be done by this group member.

2.  Recorder-  This group member is in charge of taking notes, gathering papers, and providing writting documentation when needed.  Print-outs and other concrete materials will be kept by this member of the group.

3.  Designer-  This group member will be in charge of sketching designs for drawings and providing visual aide for other group members.  This person will draw the base design for each poster that will be presented at the conclusion of the Webquest.

4.  Runner-Enquirer-  This group member will be in charge of asking questions to the teacher if needed and organizing the group.  This person will also be in charge of keeping other group members on task by asking them questions about their assignments.

*If there are more than four group members, there can be two of any group assignment, simply cooperate with eachother.
