newton 3 laws

Introduction

newtons 1st law:an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same the direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force

newtons 2nd law: the acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force in the same directoin as the net force and inversaly proportional to the mass of the object f=ma.

newtons 3rd law: for every action there is an equal or opposite reaction.

slide2: Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

slide3:The relationship between an object's mass m, its acceleration a, and the applied force F is F = ma. Acceleration and force are vectors (as indicated by their symbols being displayed in slant bold font); in this law the direction of the force vector is the same as the direction of the acceleration vector.

slide4:For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

slide5:Because they formed the basis for the science of mechanics, which underpinned the Industrial Revolution and the development of modern industry. Still today, any machine, especially those in transport and industry, has to be designed and operated with these laws in mind. The development of relativity by Einstein, and quantum mechanics by others, has shown that Newton's Laws are not fully adequate in the cosmic and subatomic fields, but they still apply in everyday activities.
