Introduction
Good afternoon students!
Today we will be addressing the sequence of a story (narrative). We have read multiple books in our class that tells us a story, or a narrative. This time, you will be creating the rest of the story. You will get to decide how it ends!
Task
In a 2 to 3 paragraph narrative, you will create a middle and end to the story that is going to be provided.
Process
Step 1: Read the beginning prompt of the story.
Step 2: Create your beginning, middle, and end chart.
Step 3: Fill in the beginning portion with the key points.
Step 4: Using your imagination, come up with what happens in the middle and the end of the story.
Step 5: Fill in the chart with what you have come up with for the middle and ending parts.
Step 6: Once the chart is filled out, fully write out the story in paragraph form.
Conclusion
Once everyone has finished creating their stories, turn to your pencil partner, and share your stories with them. We will read the book that the story was based off of, and discuss what the different ideas look like.
