Introduction
Hi! :D
Having a perfect space of your own and decorating it is such an amazing thing, and it’s a dream we all have. In this WebQuest, you will have the opportunity to design and share your Dream House.
Task
- You’ll need to form a group with at least one other person to work together on this activity. (A group size of 4-5 people would be ideal.)
- Share your hobbies with your group members and discuss what your Dream House needs to include based on your shared interests.
- Then, work together to create a detailed image of your Dream House!
Process
- Communication for 'Our Dream House'
: Your group will have one Dream House where everyone gets their own dream room. Share your likes and dislikes with each other to create your individual rooms and wonderful shared spaces. Talk together, share ideas, add what’s needed, and note everything down to design the perfect space!
- Build 'Our Dream House'
: Everyone in the group should log into the 'Minecraft' app and work together to build 'Our Dream House' based on your discussions.
- Tour 'Our Dream Town'
: Since everyone in this class has built their own Dream House on the same Minecraft map, a small village has been created. Now, you will visit each other's houses in the game and present your own personal space!
Evaluation
Your group will be evaluated in each three stages:
- Communication: Did all group members participate in the discussion and communicate actively to create the Dream House?
- Building: Did you coordinate your ideas, respect each other, and work together to build the house?
- Tour: Did everyone in the group participate in the presentation, introducing their own room and listening to the presentations of other groups?
Conclusion
Through this quest, you will learn how to communicate about your hobbies with others in English, and gain experience in carrying out a building project using the 'Minecraft' program. You will also learn how to communicate with others, resolve conflicts, and collaborate effectively!
