Introduction
Comparing Numbers
How can numbers be compare?
What terms do we use to compare numbers?
What tools to use when comparing numbers?
Objectives
Compare the number of objects from 0 to 20 in two groups using the terms less than, equal to or greater than
Locate, order and compare numbers from 0 to 20 using the number line and terms less than, equal to or greater than.
Task
In the classroom, students will have papers to cut to make the greater than, less than, and equal signs as alligators.

Students will count on a number line
Students will put dots corresponding with numbers
![]()
Students will identify which dots are tallest
Students will solve problems using the greater than symbol
Process
Students will listen to inequality songs

Students will view Savvas lesson supported by visual aids
Students will repeat inequality song while showing me their alligator signs that shows the greater than, less than, and equal symbols

Students will apply practice to IXL

Evaluation
Students will successfully be able to identify the bigger and smaller number when comparing two numbers.
Students will successfully be able to tell which sign is greater than, less than, or equal to.
Students will be graded on making the alligator signs.
Students will be graded by putting the dots with their corresponding numbers. Since there will be 1-10, I will be grading how many they get from 1-10.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my kindergarten class will be learning how to compare numbers. Savvas will be their curriculum to learn and understand about comparing numbers and the inequality signs. The enrichment activities are: them creating the alligator the greater than, less than, and equal to signs, matching the dots with their corresponding numbers, and watching and listening to the video about the inequality sign. After that, the students will be on IXL to practice and play the inequality signs game on what they learned.
