Introduction

Communication in the workplace is crucial for fostering teamwork and enhancing productivity. It involves sharing information, ideas, and feedback clearly to achieve common goals.

Effective communication fosters trust, mitigates conflicts, and enhances efficiency, whereas poor communication leads to misunderstandings and errors.

Task

Task Instructions:

You will work in groups of three (3) for this task.

  1. Each of you will write a short paragraph of 5–7 sentences in your notebook. Your paragraph should explain why effective communication is important in the workplace.

  2. Be sure to include at least one example showing how good communication can prevent misunderstandings or strengthen teamwork.

  3. Focus on clarity, correct grammar, and logical flow of ideas in your writing.

  4. When everyone in your group is finished, you will share your paragraphs aloud with your group and the class. Listen carefully and give each other constructive feedback.

Clarity & Organization Ideas are presented logically; sentences flow smoothly; easy to understand. Ideas are mostly clear, minor issues with flow or organization. Ideas are somewhat clear; sentences may be disjointed or hard to follow. Ideas are unclear; sentences are disorganized or confusing.
Grammar & Mechanics, No noticeable grammar, spelling, or punctuation errors. Few minor errors that do not distract from meaning. Some errors that slightly distract from meaning. Many errors that make the paragraph hard to understand.
