Jujuy's Vibrant Artistic Heritage
Jujuy has a rich artistic heritage deeply rooted in its indigenous Andean culture. Andean art is known for its vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and symbolic imagery. Contemporary artists in Jujuy continue to blend traditional techniques with modern influences, creating a unique and dynamic art scene.
Look at the following pictures and discuss.

- What do you see in these pictures?
- What colors do you see in these paintings? How do these colors make you feel?
- Can you identify any patterns or symbols in these artworks? What might they represent?
- Do you think the artist uses some colours on purpuse? Does the colour convey a message?
Task
The task will be divided into three parts.
1- Discuss on:
- What is your favourite colour?Why?
- How are colors used in art and design?
2- Watch these videos:
3- In groups of no more than five students choose 2(two) artwoks and prepare yourselves to act.
Roleplay activity:
Think you are in a Local Museum in Jujuy and you are tourists who were marveled by these pieces of art. Make comments on that, relating with the information you watched in the videos. You can be guided by these questions:
- How do you think these colors might influence the viewer’s experience of the artwork?
- Relate to the concept of color harmony and how different color combinations can create different effects.
- Can you identify any color harmonies used in the Jujeños artists work? How do these color choices contribute to the overall aesthetic of the artwork?
- How does this artwork make you feel?
Add other information if you wish.
Process
1- Color Wheel Exploration
In pairs create a colour wheel
- Using pieces of magazines sheets of paper or paints create your own colour wheel.
- Once finished, identify the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors on the color wheel
2- Art Project
Now, it is time you become an Artist and create your own piece of art!
Use your colour wheel to create a piece of artwork. You can use any materials you like, such as paper, markers, crayons, or paint. Experiment with different color combinations and techniques, like collage or painting
3-Products
Each group will share what they have done. The rest of the groups will have to listen, take notes, be prepared to ask questions, and participate.
Report /analysis and practice phase:
- Listen to each other and make comments on your peers' works.
- Think about these questions:
- What have you done?
- Why did you chose those colours?
- What did you feel while doing?

Self-evaluation. Please, answer the following questions in the form a paragraph of about 80-100 words.
