The game of basketball can teach many things. My focus is not just to promote another great player but for all kids to realize by learning the basic fundamentals they can participate at any level for the game.
By learning the fundamentals each participant can began to understand some of the game of basketball. For instance a great team will always beat a bunch of individuals. To be a great team takes communication skills, patience, focus and sticking up for one another. All of these are skills students need to use in life to be successful. By breaking the kids into groups each group will practice a specific skill the move on to next skill. By focusing on one at a time the student can learn paticence and knowing that learning a skill will take time. This unit will take 6 lessons to complete.
