This lesson was designed for teachers and students looking for a challenge. Designing effective and engaging materials for our students is vital in their learning process. We will learn about strategies for creating CLIL Materials and discover the ample amount of free tools available on the internet. 

 

Task

You are going to read the article " Criteria for producing CLIL Learning Material. As you dive into the article, your job will be to analyze it and take into account the different criteria it mentions in materials development so that you can implement it in your final module project.

Process

Activity 1 (due in class July 1st):

Before you read: What criteria do you usually take into account when creating materials for your students?. Click below to add your ideas:

Activity 2 (due in class July 1st):  

After you read: Write the main criteria to take into account when creating your materials. Create a mind map and upload it as an image in moodle, Forum: Webquests - Final Project

 

 

Activity 3 (Final Project):

Using some of the mini-activities you created for Topic 3: CLIL Materials, create a MapQuest for your students to follow and complete. This activity will have to contain: An introduction, Task, Evaluation and Conclusion. Also, gradually take students from LOTS to HOTS and apply scaffolding techniques while at the same time taking into account the Multiple Intelligences Theory.

When done, upload your MapQuest link in Moodle under the WebQuests - Final Project Forum in CLIL Materials - Topic 4. One post per group.
