Introduction
This website aims at providing students with valuable information for accurate classification of flowering plants into two major groups monocotyledon and dicotyledon, these flowering plant were chosen because of their significance in fruit and food production and their general contribution to the continuity of life.
Task
In this project students will gather information about the characteristics about monocot and dicot plants, which they will use to classify given specimen. they will also be required to tell the significance of flowering plants in food production and continuity of life.
By the end of this webquest students will be able to make a clear distinction between monocot and dicot plants
Process
Students will watch videos about monocot and dicot plants.
1. Students will classify a given set of plans as monocots and dicots.
2. Students will draw structures of monocots and dicot leaves.
3. Students will discuss the significance in food production.
