civil rights movement

Introduction

Teaching the civil rights movement that took place in America from 1954-1968 which aim to abolish racial segregation and discrimination aganist African American and other minority groups. 

Task

Teaching and focusing on main events like The Montgomeny bus boycott, Brown vs Board of education, March On Washington.

Focusing on resources such as photos, speeches, and personal stories to help understand the experiences of those who face injustice and those who were activist to fight against it. 

Process

Teach students the civil rights movement by timeline, while analyzing  each and every movement, person, and event that made a difference in the civil rights movement. 

Evaluation

Test students knowledge with assessment such as multiple choice questions, short answer responses, presentations,debates, 

Conclusion

Student will learn about the cause and effect  of segregation  and discrimination against  African American and other minority groups. How did it affect their personal life and as a community. Look into key figure who were activist fighting for equality and how did their activist act impact the future for these people. In conclusion students will come to term with compassion and respect for others and how discrimination has a negative effect on society.
