Introduction

Let's think abou Civil Rights, shall we?

What Are Civil Rights?

"Civil rights" are the rights of individuals to receive equal treatment (and to be free from unfair treatment or "discrimination") in a number of settings and based on certain legally-protected characteristics".

Can you remember some of the civil rights? Make a list....

Do you think everybody has access to the 30 Human rights? Why or why not? Who do you think not?

 

But fortunately, there are some people who are concerned about these people. they are called activits.

Activist a person who campaigns to bring about political or social change.

Can you remember the name of some activists?

What do you know about them?

Read about some famous activists and answer the questions:

Now, read Mandela's biography and answer the questions:

Conclusion

Each one of you will make a presentation of the activist you've chosen using any kind of resource, power point, videos, songs, etc.
