Christmas In Wales

Introduction

We all know Christmas traditions tend to differ depending on the country. This WebQuest is a beginner-level introduction to Welsh Christmas - its origins, traditions and present-day celebrations.

Task

Tasks are divided into 3 separate parts:

1. Research:

Go through the helpful websites linked in the "process" column. Try your best to memorize as much information as you can. Pay attention to details that may help you complete the tasks below.

2. Translation:

After completing your research, it's time to test your language skills! Head down to the "translation" tab and translate these simple phrases from Welsh to English (1-5) and English to Welsh (6-10).

3. Open-ended questions:

The final task of this WebQuest is to answer some open-ended questions. Use your fresh knowledge about Welsh Christmas customs.
