Chose your path WebQuest

Introduction

Today you will show that you are a mini -expert for our ANCIENT EGYPT tour today. You’ll use songs, short online stories, typing and spelling practice, and images to create a digital mini-museum or guided tour that teaches others what you learned.

Use iClicker emoji reactions to start: How do you feel about our topic today?” (🙂 Confident / 😕 Unsure / 🤔 Curious / 😃 Excited).

 

Task

Working in a small group of 2 you will chose 3 vocabulary words with definitions.

  • 3 examples of each vocabulary, after that you will 
  • Read a narrated ebook that includes an original short story from Egypt.
  • Write a reflection. Then, 
  • 2–4 slide with images, 3 key facts, and add your 3 vocabulary words. 
  • Finally you will do a quiz Kahoot 
Process

 

  1. Assign topics and groups.

  2. Students uses 2–3 approved online resources.

  3. Record 3 facts and 3 vocabulary words.

  4. Provides simplified text + images.

  5. Help students choose final product & plan (20–30 min)

  6. Swap products with another group. Use a short iClicker-style quiz or emoji poll and the Peer Review Checklist.

  7. Present

  8. Groups present live or upload to the class sharing space. 

  9. Reflection (10–15 min)

  10. Students complete the Reflection Questions (below).

 

Evaluation

Evaluation (Special Ed): focus on growth, effort, and mastery of IEP goals. Weight: Effort & participation (40%), Content (30%), Communication/accessibility (30%). Use a 3-point scale: Exceeds / Meets / Needs Support.
