Introduction
Students will be reviewing Chapter 4 of their United States History textbook pg. 98-108. This chapter section discusses the main causes leading up to the American Revolution. Students will read and summarize the text and as a group present their findings.
Task
1. Read pages 98 through 108.
2. They will have a group discussion on what was learned
3. The groups will then summarize major events leading up to the American revolution.
4. They will create a presentation poster with their findings.
5. The groups will then present in front of the classroom.
Process
1. Read section 1 chapter 4
2. Discuss the chapter as a group, formulating a proper summary of main events.
3. Summarize the main events and create a presentation board with summaries.
4. Present for the class their findings.
Evaluation
This project will have a total of 100 points.
25 points for complete timeline of main events leading up to the American Revolution.
25 Points for summaries of the events themselves.
25 points for the construction and creativity of their presentation board.
25 points for the presentation itself including participation of all in the group for the presentation.
Conclusion
Students will have a greater idea of the main events leading to the American Revolution. They will also improve cooperation through a group effort of reading, comprehension, and presentation.
