It’s not just a religious celebration but a window to a new beginning, an opportunity to rearrange, redecide, set goals, restart and of course a great chance to meet friends-family, have fun and celebrate. These are some of the reasons why Christmas celebrations are wholeheartedly embraced around the globe. Apart from customary traditions like tree decoration, festive meals, champaign, dancing, attending church and exchanging gifts some countries have their own unique customs to celebrate this wonderful day! Task
Your mission is to work in groups of four and you will…
- Research how people celebrate Christmas in a specific country. You can use the links that are included in the resources or you can access your own net-page-choices.
- Collect information about:
- Food and Drinks
- Decorations
- Traditional music, songs, celebrations
- Special customs or traditions
- Present your findings in class
- Participate actively in a classroom discussion about all five group projects.

1. Form 5 groups of 4 students and assign roles
2. Choose the country that you will present from the following list

- The Philippines
Feel free to use material even of your own choice. Don’t forget to keep notes of the things that you will include in your presentation. You can organize your ideas using the tasksheet.
- Resources (2nd session)
Go through the material carefully to complete the WebQuest. After organizing your findings choose the appropriate format of your presentation and create the project with your group. Decide who will present it in class and of course be prepared to accept questions.
