Introduction
Canada has many complex relationships with other countries. In order to fully understand and analyze the complexity of international relationships, we are going to delve deeper and take a look at a trading relationship that Canada has with another country.
Make sure to refer to the success criteria and rubric. A student exemplar has been added to the Conclusion section of the webquest.
Task
Your task, as we wrap up our social studies unit on Canada’s Interactions with the Global Community, will be to create a piece (see the choices below) to send to the Federal Minister of International Trade to convince them to begin or continue a trading relationship with the country chosen. * You may work by yourself, in pairs, or in groups of 3.

Research and collect data about the country

-what do they import and can Canada supply that?
-where are they located and how does that affect a trading relationship with Canada
-does a trade relationship impact the relationship between Canada and the other country

Put the information together in one of the chosen formats making sure to be neat and clear, and meeting all the requirements

Conclusion
Through evaluating a trading relationship that Canada has (or does not have), we can form a strong knowledge and understanding of Canada's interactions in the Global community. Through your research you should have explained reasons why Canada would want or not want to trade with this country, examined the imports and exports and their value/use to both countries, made an informed decision and explained why and how this trade relationship would be good for Canada.
