Introduction
Welcome to Ms. Williams' Multiple Intelligences Webquest!
Multiple Intelligence Theory was created by Howard Gardner. He realized that everyone has different ways of learning and he spent many years studying how people acquire knowledge. I will use this information to create engaging activities for you throughout the year.
The different intelligences are:
Verbal/Linguistic: Word Smart
Musical/Rhythmic: Music Smart
Logical/Mathematical: Number Smart
Visual/Spatial: Picture Smart
Bodily Kinesthetic: Body Smart
Intrapersonal: Self Smart
Interpersonal: People Smart
Naturalisitic: Nature Smart
When you have completed this cyberspace adventure you will be able to:
Understand your strongest Multiple Intelligences
Acknowledge your weaker Intelligences
Choose activities that will inspire you
Express what you know effectively
Become more confident in your learning
Task
The goal of this webquest is for you to learn more about how you learn best. Additionally, you will learn how to strengthen your weaker intelligences. It is best to be well-rounded in many areas instead of being an expert at only one skill.
You will first take an online Multiple Intelligence survey. You will use this information to guide your activities during the Web Quest. You will complete an activity within each intelligence and take personal notes on how confident you felt during each activity.
It is necessary to understand how you learn so that you can become more responsible for choosing appropriate assignments, discussing your needs with parents and teachers, and feeling the joy of success in school!
Process
1. Online Multiple Intelligence Survey
Go to this web site, choose Multiple Intelligence test for the appropriate age range and complete the online survey.

After you read your survey results, answer the following questions:
- How can learning about my personal MIs help me?
- How can I create long-term personal goals based on my MIs? (These can be in school or outside of school.)
- How can understanding how my classmates learn help me get along
with them better? - In summary, my strengths are________________________ and my
weakness are____________________________.
2. Independent work
