Introduction

Socio- economic issues are the the factors that affect the community or society .Socio economic issues have an impact on individuals economic activity . Socio- economic issues affect businesses in a bad way and can decrease the value of the country . There are different types of socio -ecomonic issue and in today's lesson we will be discussing them.

Task

In our communities the are supermarkets that have been closing down due to robberies that have been taking place. . Another reason has been that people are dying and others are getting sick. We are seeing people selling CD' s on the streets and others sleeping without eating any food . It is sad to see our communities suffering because of socio economic issues. (A learner is required to do a RESEARCH on the socio economic issues affecting their community or society and also to find possible ways to end or stop them .)[50] marks

Process

A learner has to list down five socio economic issues they know and give an explanation of each. A
A learner has to make a survey and ask people around in the community questions about the socio -economic issues affecting their community and the causes of them
The learner has to go to the supermarkets and ask what are the causes of them closing closing down their stores.
The learner has to search ways to stop or decrease socio economic issues in the community
The learner has to find solutions to the problems by asking around people in the community or finding information on the internet

Conclusion

Defeating socio -economic issues challenges in South Africa is possible. It will require a purposeful exertion from all areas of society: governments, corporates and people cooperating for a superior society. If all stakeholders work together they can change our societies.
