Introduction
There is nothing more exciting than an educational trip that combines learning, tourism, entertainment, and promotes the contact with other peoples and their cultures! With this in mind, our school is planning a fantastic, creative and unforgettable trip to England during summer time! Of course, there are many things to consider in organising this trip like the host university, the location, the courses, the accommodation, the facilities, and the travel arragements.
Your work is to search and decide in which location and university (from those available) you wish to stay and attend, the courses you would like to attend, the accommodation, the facilities you want to do while being there and finally the way of travelling and the ticket prices.
Task
You are going to be divided and work into pairs. You are expected to find the necessary information about the forthcoming educational trip to England and decide which university, district, courses, accommodation, facilities and travel arrangements will best fit your needs.
Each pair will find information about different things in order to finally create a trip brochure!
Process
Students will be divided into three pairs for this project.
STAGE 1-Timeline: 2 days
A. The first pair will find information about the location and the host univerities/colleges as well as the English courses available. Bear in mind that you have to search for specific locations, namely London, Oxford, Bristol, Sussex and Leicester, Brighton, Hertfordshire. In order to do so, follow the links below:
http://www.studytravel.gr/english/study_abroad/summer_schools_places/1
While searching, fill in the following table with the necessary information (in the column "English courses available" write 'yes' if available:
| Location | University/College | English courses available |
B. The second pair will find information about the accommodation and the facilities/entertainment (the locations to search for are London, Oxford, Bristol, Sussex and Leicester). Use the following links: https://www.studytours.gr/en

After finding the required information complete the table below:
| Location | University/College | Accommodation | Entertainment |
C. The third group will find information about the start days (remember that our visit is about to last for 1 week-the locations to search for are London, Oxford, Bristol, Sussex and Leicester) and ticket prices (our place of departure is Eleftherios Venizelos Airport-Athens).
For information about the start days follow the links: https://www.studytours.gr/en

After finding the required information complete the table below:

STAGE 2-Timeline: 2 days
The three pairs meet.
Discuss the information you found with the other two groups and decide which university/college your brochure will be about. Also, decide the distinct parts/sections each pair will write about.
Discuss the validity of the information each pair has gathered.
STAGE 3-Timeline: 3 days
Each pair starts writing the different sections of the trip brochure.
Remember to divide the brochure into sections:
- Description of the location
- Where is it?
- Is it a small or big city/town?
- Is it a beautiful place? (use the appropriate adjectives to characterize it)
- Are there any attractions to see there?
- Are there any facilities?
- University/College
- Is it a well-known, high-standard university/college?
- How about its construction? Is it modern?
- How far is the campus site from the city centre?
- Are there any facilities?
- Courses
- How will the students be placed in the appropriate level?
- How about the hours of the courses attendance?
- How about the class size?
- Do the students receive a Certificate of Attendance?
- Accommodation
- Does the campus site have single rooms with a bathroom?
- How about the kitchen? Is there a kitchen fully equipped for the students to use?
- How about the meals? Does the University/College restaurant offer three meals daily? (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Entertainment
- Are there any activities offered? When (evening, afternoon)? Where (in the campus or elsewhere)?
- What are they?
- Does the programme organise day-trips to nearby places?
- Travel arrangements
- What is the ticket price?
- Is there any special offer or discount?
- What is the point of departure and arrival?
For each section use the appropriate imagery to make the brochure more attractive.
Stage 4-Timeline: 3 days
The pairs exchange feedback regarding the sections they've written.
The feedback should be about:
1. The amount of information included in each section (is all the necessary information included?)
2. The content (is it clear and coherent?)
3. Grammar and spelling
4. Use of appropriate vocabulary
5. Use of appropriate imagery
