Introduction
This webquest will help you gain a better understanding of the important events which took place during the time period of a specific genre of music. Your classmates will also be able to learn more about your musical genre when you share your findings with the class. It is now your turn to research about the music genre you have chosen and learn even more about what caused the genre to begin, live, and possibly die. To stop the flow of music would be like the stopping of time itself, incredible and inconceivable. - Aaron Copland 
Task
The students would be assigned into groups of three which would work together to research their chosen genre for interesting facts, events, or music
which made a great impact on the genre. They will create a timeline using
dipity.com in which they add fifteen events to. They must write a description
of the events in their own words which describes it as well as the
impact/relevance to the genre of music. Along with the fifteen events they must
include at least ten links which support the post from videos, sources,
pictures, recordings, etc. The student will have three days to complete this
assignment together in the computer lab and will present their timeline to their
class showing each link as well. They will be evaluated on the completion of
the posts as well as the relevance and correctness of the information. All
information gathered from the internet must be found through our school’s online
library in order to ensure that the information is factual. If other resources
are used they must be approved by the teacher.
