Task
Your task is to learn about the author of this novel, Katherine Paterson.
Who she is and why did she write this book? You will also to learn about Terabithia and its occupants, Jess and Leslie. You will advance through several processes that will make you more familiar with the book and its author, and then be given the opportunity to express your feelings and opinions about this award-winning literary work.

B. Imagining you are Jess, write Leslie's obituary. It should be at least 1/2 page. (Size 12 font. 1.5 line spacing). You should make sure you reference how you met her, your initial reactions and what you admire about her.It's always good to tell a story about the person you are writing about.
C. You are a journalist of the local newspaper. You are tasked with writing the newspaper report about the recent weather patterns and the tragic event that occurred as a result. Remember to set out you article as it should look in a newspaper. Include; Who, What, When, Where and Why.
D. Discuss the theme of fear in the novel. Is Leslie's relative fearlessness a virtue or is it a reckless lack of caution that ultimately gets her killed? Or is it both? Do you think that utter fearlessness should be honored as a virtue, or should it be tempered with a healthy sense of danger? Which character is more admirable in this regard, Jess or Leslie? You must write at least 1 page.
E. If you had to re-cast the movie, who would you put in the lead roles? Why have you chosen them? Include a picture of them.
