Introduction
Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson is a coming-of-age story about Jess, a fifth grade boy who befriends a new neighbor girl named Leslie. They become fast friends and create a secret imaginary world called Terabithia. As king and queen of Terabithia, Jess and Leslie go on many fantastical adventures, but reality strikes the young royalty and leaves Jess and Terabithia forever changed.
This web quest will explore the concepts pf the theme of childhood friendships, qualities of good friends, and the role of imagination in childhood played on this story.
Task
What is a friendship? A friendship is a type of relationship between two people who care about each other. Throughout your reading of Bridge to Terabithia, you will recognize a relationship between two children. This relationship will lead to a friendship. While reading the book, recognize and analyze the main character by discussing what it means to be a friend. Also connect and apply ways to make and keep friends. There are many qualities for a good friendship: honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty an unconditional acceptance. A friendship should make both people in the relationship happy; both people should have fun when they spend time together. Which type of friend are you?

B. Now that you have read Bridge to Terabithia, your next job is to put together a presentation with your group as if you were teaching someone else about this book. This is called a Book Talk. Using PowerPoint, Slide Show, Video, Prezi, Adobe Spark, or any other multimedia format to create a presentation that includes the following:
*A summary of the book which includes the characters, setting, plot, and theme of the story.
*Whether or not you would recommend the book to a friend and why or why not
This should take no more than a week if you have been posting your discussions of the book as assigned on the assignment page of the class. When you are finished, we will edit it together and post it to share with the class.

Conclusion
Now that you have completed this webquest and read Bridge to Terabithia, it is my hope that you have a greater appreciation for this remarkable novel. It includes components of friendship, perseverance and triumph—three fantastic concepts we all encounter at some point in life.
