Introduction
¡Felicidades! The White House has asked our Spanish class to perform at the State dinner for the new King and Queen of Spain. The president’s chief of staff has requested that we perform selections from Spanish author Miguel Cervante’s book, Don Quijote to celebrate the 410th anniversary of the publication of the book as well as the contributions of the Spanish people to the rest of the world. However, you will only have a few days to prepare for your big performance. Today, your task is to gather as much information as you can about the book Don Quijote (author’s purpose in writing the book, setting, time period, important characters, etc.) as well as select the role you would like to play in the upcoming productions (director, costumes, music, props, actor, etc.). Work through the webquest the government has sent over to learn as much as you can about Don Quijote and record your findings on the worksheet given to you by your teacher. These worksheets will be sent back to the government tonight for approval, so make sure that you fill them out completely. Do your best, your country depends on you.
