Boy of the Painted Cave

Introduction

This marking period we will be reading ‘Boy of the Painted Cave” and learning all about cave people and cave paintings. The story takes place around 20,000 years ago. The paintings used in the story are from European cave sites and tell the story of a young boy, considered an outcast, who yearns to be a cave painter.

Once completed, you will have a better understanding of how people lived 20,000 years ago.  You will have researched cave people, as well as cave paintings.  This will help you to understand the book, but more importantly the main character and what motivates him to become a cave painter.
