Basketball
Basketball is a fun, competitive and popular sport in which students can learn and improve their locomotor, manipulative, life, and social skills as they engage in this physical activity.

Facility/Equipment Needed:
- Basketballs (29.5 for men, 28.5 for women)
- Athletic Shoes
- Shorts and T- Shirt
- Basketball Court (Indoor/Black Top)
- Cones
Focus of the Lesson:
- Basic Knowledge of the Rules
- Basic Fundamentals: Dribbling, Passing, Shooting
Task
Student Learning Objectives:
Students will be working in small groups with a minimum of 4 members all the way to a maximum of 6 members.
Students will be presenting the videos, pictures, and things they did not know before, what they know now, what they like the most, what they find challenging, and the benefits of playing basketball in front of the class.
Psychomotor:
Students will learn the basic fundamentals in basketball such as dribbling, passing, shooting.
Task 1: Students will practice dribbling, passing, and shooting at a local park or gym. Students must post a quick video of them at the park doing drills and having fun!
Cognitive:
Students will be able to apply movement concepts and principles into game play and situations.
Task 2: Students will know the rules in basketball by researching and watching videos.

Affective:
Students will feel confident and accountable for their individual progress.
Task 3: Students will record or post themselves doing the drills, or playing at the park with friends or family and they must "like" or "comment" on their classmates' posts.
