BLOG WRITING MINI WEBQUEST

Introduction

One tool that allows us to become 21st Century consumers, collaborators and creators is the blog.This mini webquest will help you explore blogs and learn how to write a blog entry. READ CAREFULLY, follow the instructions and enjoy your journey!

Task

Task 1. Watch the video from the following link and write down on your notebook/ Ipad your thoughts about what a blog is and how it is used:

Task 2. Find below links to different real blogs. After analysing them, answer the following questions:

 

 

  1. What common features do you notice in the analysed blogs? 

  2. How do the blogs make use of multimedia elements: video, images, audio…?

  3. Name 3 different blog purposes.

 

Task 3. Analyse the following blogger entry and answer the questions:

  1.  What did the blog author make first to start her blog?
  2. What kind of language does the author use?
  3. How does the author structure the blog entries?
  4. Which topic chose the author to write her blog?
  5. which word/s from the text can you relate to the topic/s treated in this unit?

Process

Final task. Write your own blog post. You should write a post of 80-100 words. Possible choices:

  •  Relate your experience doing your video-task. What would you change if you had the chance to change anything? Would you have done things differently if you had had the chance?

 

  • The Covid-19 pandemic has ended. Give tips to improve your well-being during a pandemic from your experience. What do you do to stay healthy? (phisically and mentally) Did you follow any routines during the lockdown? Would you change anything if you turned back in time?

 

This task will be handed in to your teacher before Monday 8th March.
