Pizza Panic

Introduction

In this exiting WebQuest, you will learn about finding the area of different shapes while you are having a good time. Suppose you are starting a new pizza restaurant, and you have to make pizza sizes and order pizza boxes to fit the sizes you make.

Task

You will have to find 2 different pizza sizes, large and small. It doesn't matter what the dimensions are, as long as one is bigger than the other. You then need to order 2 different size boxes to fit these pizza sizes. You only have a budget of $300 and you want to order as much pizza boxes as you can, and have an equal amount of each.  

Process

What you will need to do is find the area of both pizza sizes, find the area of both sizes of boxes, make sure the pizzas fit in the boxes, and find the total amount of boxes you can buy with $300. You may need to look online to find how big of boxes you can buy, and the price of them. When you buy your boxes, try to make the amount of each box size equal to eachother or close to it. A helpful link has been attached below. A chart will also be provided that you will need to fill out when you are completing this assignment. Research your pizza sizes and get started!

After you are done with this chart, make an original pizza box design to put on your box. It should have color and it should be neat. You can draw it and take a picture or make one on the computer and screenshot it. It doesn't matter how you do it as long as it is on the word document that has the chart. You will be graded on your creativity! DON'T STEAL PICTURES FROM GOOGLE!

Evaluation

You will be evaluated in this WebQuest mainly by your completion of the chart. Make sure the sizes of pizza fit in the boxes or you get a bad grade. Also, the creativity and originality of your pizza box will also be graded. You may want to follow the rubric below.

If you get a 3 in both categories, it is a 100% or close to it. If you get a 2 in both categories, it is a 80% or close to it. A 1 in both is around a 60%-70% or lower. 0 in both is a D or lower. 

Conclusion

So throughout this WebQuest, i hope you learned about how to find the area of circles and rectangles/squares while you were making pizzas. The information you learned will always help you in future experiences.
