How do I decide which strategies are best to understand a specific story?

Task

Students will understand the beginning, middle, and end of a story.

Objective:  The students will retell texts in ways that maintain meaning by classifying the beginning, middle, and end of the story.

Process

Instructions:

  1. Have your child watch the video How to retell a story.
  2. Have your child watch the video The Three Little Pigs.
  3. Have your child drag the pictures in the correct order on the google slides page, but do to give them the answers.
  4. Have your child watch the Three Little Pigs video again to ensure their pictures are in the correct order.
  5.  Once your child is sure their pictures are in the right spot, share the slide with me. Next, have your child play the Kahoot game. Please read your child the questions, but do not give them the answers.
