Be an Oral Presentation Ninja

Introduction

Have you ever imagined yourself standing in front of an audience as an Oral Presentation Ninja?

Scared?

Nervous?

DON'T BE! You can do it!

You can be an Oral Presentation Ninja!

Task

Your final task for Module 1 is a concise oral presentation video about cyberbullying.

It aims to develop your research, note-taking, presentation and persuasion skills. Through this task, you should be able to inform others about cyberbullying, its causes and effects, and the ways by which we can avoid being victims of this crime.

Process

1. First, you need to learn some essential tips in planning and delivering your oral presentation. Watch this short video.

2. Now, let us have a quick look on the examples of a good and a bad presentation. Watch this short video.

3. By now, you must have a plan in your mind. With your group mates, brainstorm how you will distribute the tasks. Remember that the KEY here is COLLABORATION.

4. Start working. Manage your time well. Have fun!

5. Your video-recorded oral report should be saved onto a CD/DVD.

6. Once you are finished with the report, write your individual reflective essay that is not less than 300 words but should not exceed 500 words. Be guided by the following questions:

- How did you divide the task as a group?

- What was the role given to you?

- What difficulty/ies did you face in doing your part? Why?

- How did you deal with the difficulty/ies? Were you successful? Explain.

- How well do you think you did in this part of the task? Explain.

- What will you do differently next time? Why?

- What insights did you gain from the assignment? Explain.

7. Submit the group's CD/DVD along with the individual reflective essays which shall be compiled in a short folder.

7. The deadline of submission shall be on July 31, 2019.

20 % - Peer Assessment (Every member of the group will rate all the other member's performance                        of the role assigned to each.)

Conclusion

I hope you enjoyed working as a group. The raves (and rants) you have had while accomplishing this task simply add to the spirit of teamwork in your group.
