Introduction
Welcome to the mission "Break the Code!"
Our minds and bodies are like super powerful computers. But sometimes, little "viruses" called Bad Habits sneak in. They can slow us down, make us feel tired, and even affect our health and grades! Your mission is to become a "Health Hacker". You will investigate these "viruses", understand how they work, and most importantly, create an "Antivirus Program" – a cool guide to help yourself and your classmates fight back and stay healthy!
Task
Your final goal is to create a "Digital Poster" (PowerPoint) that will serve as your "Antivirus Program".
Your poster must include:
-
A List & Description: Identify at least 3 common bad habits among teenagers.
-
The "Source Code": Explain the reasons of these habits.
-
The "Antivirus": Suggest 3-5 powerful tips and strategies to break these habits.
-
Visual "Firewall": Make it bright and easy to understand using images, icons, and short texts in English.
You will work in teams of 3-4 "Health Hackers".
Process
Step 1: Choose Roles
Divide the roles in your group:
-
Researcher #1: Focuses on identifying bad habits (like lack of sleep).
-
Researcher #2: Investigates the reasons (why we do it) and consequences (how it affects us).
-
Analyst: Finds solutions and tips to fight the habits.
-
Designer: Responsible for the visual design in Power Point.
Step 2: Gather Your Intelligence (Use the links below)
For Researcher #1:
-
BBC - How to be healthy (Look for topics about lifestyle)
For Researcher #2:
-
Teen Health - Bad Habits (Search for articles on sleep, smoking, stress)
-
Why is it so hard to break a bad habit? (A short video about the bad habits)
For the Analyst (Solutions & Tips):
-
Article: How to Break a Bad Habit (A great resource with practical steps)
Step 3: Create Your "Antivirus Program".
Using PowerPoint, combine all your findings. Use the structure from the Task section. The Designer leads this step, but everyone contributes their part in English!
-
Use short sentences.
-
Use bright colors and powerful images.
-
Check your grammar and spelling!
Step 4: Prepare a Short (1-2 minute) Presentation
Be ready to present your poster to the class. Each team member should say at least 2-3 sentences about their part of the work.
