Introduction
Today we are going to take a trip back in time, before the United States was a country of its own. As we have learned from our limited studies on the topic, the Revolutionary War is where the United States earned its freedom from Great Britain. While this was ultimately the event that led to our freedom from Great Britain it was just the end of the fight for freedom, as there were many events that superseded the war. In our travels through time we will learn about the events that led to the American Revolution.
Task
In a group of three, students will go on a journey through time using each of the links provided to discover 7 key events that led to the American Revolution. Throughout their journey students will fill out a graphic organizer that will help them collect important information about each event that they will use to complete the final project on their journey. Once the students have gone through the links and filled out the graphic organizer, they will come together to create a visual timeline of these event. These will be on paper and must include each of the 7 key events including their dates, a picture to accompany them, and a brief description of the events. At the end of the week once every group has completed their webquest and timelines, each group will present their timelines to the class. Get your thinking caps on students. Ready... set... GO!
Process
This is where your journey begins...
Step 1: Groups of three will be assigned by the teacher.
Step 2: Each member of the group will need their own graphic organizer.

Step 3: Group members will work together to find the answers but each group member will need to fill out their own graphic organizer to be turned in at the end of the quest.
Step 4: Use the four links provided below to identify seven key events that led to the American Revolution and add them to your graphic organizer.

Step 6: On a piece of large paper (provided by the teacher) put together a timeline of the seven key events that led to the American Revolutionary War, include one influential person, and one fun fact that you learned on your travels back in time.
Step 7: Once the entire class has finished their projects each group will present their timeline to the class.
