Introduction

Task
Hello my friends, we are going to be going over and discovering all the wonderful things that our five senses can do. When you think of the senses and all that they can do what do you think of? How can we have our friends get the most out of our five senses and explore all that there is.
Process
Working on our senses and how we use each one. Performing each task we will see how having each sense can guide you possibly away from danger like a hot stove or how we may use our senses in learning.
First step would be to gather the materials for your projects, have the class separate into five equal groups. assign each group a different sense. For the group with sound they could have everyone play a game with the class such as marco polo demonstrating how our hearing plays such a big part of our daily life. Also possibly see how it would be not to hear as well say with ear plugs?
The next group could be on smell, having them draw what they love to smell. Having some of their favorite smells. The students could pass around a snack size sample of perhaps their favorite food. Maybe bringing in their favorite flower or whatever is their favorite smell pass it around making it interactive which would lead us into our next sense touching.
Touch group could bring in some samples with each child each bringing in a different one the textures different and how one would feel on their hands vs on their face. Bringing one of their favorite things they love to feel such as possibly a blanket, or even something that they think is very different but yet interesting to feel. Maybe have a blind feeling center set up having the students feel blindfolded what it is they are touching.
Taste the next sense. With having the samples of the favorite dishes that were brought in using the sight, smell and touching sense they could taste. Blindfolding the students so that they would have to taste without seeing, feeling, smelling. Taste group could also bring in some of their favorite tastes for the class. Making it interactive and fun get to know you exercise.
The last but not least sight, have them look and shave them color, draw or cut out pictures of things they like to see. Also possibly have them explain how it is we see, such as an example some people wearing glasses.
With all the senses how it changes the way that we taste and see things?

Evaluation
The grading rubric on this section will be was the child able to explain thee five senses clearly and state what each one entails inn how they all work with one another.
Having each student at the end of the day explain or draw in their own words or drawings what each senses mean and how we use them in our daily lives.
Out of all these activities the child should acquire new thoughts on what the senses bring into our well being.
Conclusion
Having the children explain and going over in their own words what they may have learned that was new to them about their senses and how they may use the information in the future.
