For this quest, you will research certain atoms to discover their secrets!

You will be looking for the atomic number, atomic mass, the  numbers of protons, electrons, and neutrons. And at the end of this quest, you will illustrate a correct model of an atom!

Using the simulator provided above and your periodic table, build the following elements:

     

  1. Hydrogen
  2. Oxygen
  3. Neon
  4. Chlorine
  5. Phosphorous 
  6. Helium
  7. Boron
  8. Carbon

and list their: 

  1. Atomic Number 
  2. Atomic Mass 
  3. Number of Protons
  4. Number of Neutrons
  5. Number of Electrons

Evaluation

Your group will be assigned 2 elements to further research. 

Your task is to illustrate these elements in a class Google Sildeshow and present your information to the class.

In your research, use the animated periodic table to determine what these elements help to make.
