Asthma effects 11% of the population in the world, its a very common disease that can not be cured.
Evaluation
The definition of asthma is a respiratory condition marked by spasms in the bronchi of the lungs, causing difficulty in breathing. It usually results from an allergic reaction or other forms of hypersensitivity.
Asthma can cause:
- Shortness of breath.
- Chest tightness or pain.
- Wheezing when exhaling, which is a common sign of asthma in children.
- Trouble sleeping caused by shortness of breath, coughing or wheezing.
- Coughing or wheezing attacks that are worsened by a respiratory virus, such as a cold or the flu.
Long-term control medications such as inhaled corticosteroids are the most important medications used to keep asthma under control. Quick-relief inhalers contain a fast-acting medication such as albuterol.
Conclusion
Even though asthma is a non-curable diease, its possible to live a normal life by taking medicine.
